Christina Owen | Founder & Director

Christina Owen discovered some of the personal benefits of giving back as a fifth grader in Los Altos Hills, California, where her teacher enlisted the help of his class to remove phosphates from laundry soaps to protect biological species. Throughout her life as a mom and community organizer, she has learned of the fulfillment that comes from connecting to her interests and making an impact. She holds masters degrees in nonprofit administration and secondary teaching, with special training in curriculum development. She developed Get Involved with parents and students at Palo Alto High School in 2008, and has guided the organization through its establishment as a 501(c)3 organization. One of her greatest satisfactions comes from guiding students to making unique contributions that lead to more joy and purposeful living.
